profile {
//Senior product and interaction designer with a hybrid skill set spanning visual craft and UX. I take digital experiences end to end — from concept and wireframes to pixel-perfect, production-ready design — grounded in design systems and front-end implementation. I'm fluent enough in code to partner closely with developers and to prototype interaction and motion myself, so work ships with the fit and finish I design for. I thrive in fast-moving, multidisciplinary teams and care as much about how an experience is built as how it feels to use.

Work Experience {
[January 2026 - Present]
//Freelance Product Designer — Orbita Studio
Design and build data-visualization platforms that turn complex data into accessible, actionable experiences for decision-makers and the public. Ownership runs end to end — concept, interface design, prototyping, and front-end implementation — with a consistent emphasis on visual craft and clarity across screen sizes.
[May 2023 - February 2026]
//Lead, Design System — Universidad de los Andes
Built and governed a component-based design system as a product, scaling it across multiple teams with different technical stacks. Drove accessibility, usability, and a consistent experience across mobile and desktop while reducing design-to-code friction and protecting visual quality. Partnered with developers on HTML/CSS/JS implementation, documented components in Storybook, and presented system decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
[January 2024 - Present]
//Lecturer - Universidad de los Andes
Teach interaction design and usability at the Faculty of Architecture and Design — interaction paradigms, research methods, and human-centered design. Mentoring students and articulating design rationale clearly is central to how I work; it sharpens the same skills I bring to mentoring junior designers and presenting to senior stakeholders.

[October 2022 - May 2023]
//Junior UX Designer - SKG Tecnología
Designed interaction and information architecture for high-stakes operational dashboards for Bogotá's Mobility Secretariat. The core product was a validation interface used daily by transit officers to act on automated photo-detection tickets, demanding clear data hierarchy and precise workflows so users could decide quickly and confidently under real operational pressure.

research {
Member of research group exploring design with an emphasis on human well being and accessibility.
Published research focused on translating a highly technical laboratory technology (microbial fuel cells) into an accessible, community-centered product for rural Colombia. The work involved stripping away the visual language of the lab and rebuilding it with simpler materials and a new design language that felt close to the people who would actually use it.
